Effectively Placing a Grab Bar

Treasure coast Grab Bar Installations is concerned about your safety and wants to let you know the proper way to place grab bars in your bathroom. For this, we turned to Mr. Grab Bar of Treasure coast to gain some insight.

There are 3 main locations where you want to have grab bars installed.

1.          First and most important location, is to place a grab bar ranging from 12 to 18 inches at the entrance to the shower stall to assist with entering and exiting. This becomes a primary thing when a bathtub is present since this becomes an obstacle that could lead to a dangerous fall.

2.            Second comes a diagonal or horizontally placed grab bar at the back wall of the shower for maintaining balance and also prevent false while showering. This bar is especially useful for standing and sitting down if a shower seat is used.

3.            The third most important place but often disregarded, is a grab bar (normally of 12 inches of length) placed adjacent to the toilet seat to assist standing up and siting down onto the toilet.
