Is a 3 in 1 Commode or Raised Toilet Seat Enough?

While a 3 in 1 commode (raised toilet seat) is a very useful device to prevent falls, many medical professionals including doctors, physical therapists and home health workers suggest to enhance bathroom safety with grab bars designed for fall prevention.

The physical therapist and grab bar installation specialist, Dr. Howard Cohen, has reported that Mr. Grab Bar of Treasure coast has had many customers who have had both grab bars and a 3 in 1 commode added to their bathroom. The reason being that 3 in 1 commodes do not address the entire range of motions involved in transitioning from sitting to standing and do not provide help for the rest of the bathroom.
